Adult Day Service
Non-medical Adult Day Services to seniors in Geauga County who require a structured, positive and caring environment during the day because of memory loss, cognitive impairment, or Alzheimer's Disease.
Assistance with Daily Living
Local home health care companies are contracted to provide services such as personal care and other services to maintain independence and dignity.
Care Coordination
A licensed social worker consults with a senior and their family or support system and is designed to help seniors: solve problems, understand resources, and make connections to services.
Chore and Home Safety
Assist seniors with the maintenance of their homes including the adaptations for disabilities.
Congregate Meals
Provides Geauga Seniors a nutritionally balanced lunch five days a week at our Senior Center Sites.
Geauga Senior News
Many items of interest for seniors published in the "News” including The Geauga County Senior Center activities, health information, educational articles, local senior clubs and local activities.
Home Delivered Meals
Provides Geauga Seniors who are homebound and/or unable to cook or prepare a meal for themselves, a nutritionally balanced lunch up to five days a week.
Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)
Helps low-income seniors pay for their home energy bills, providing financial assistance to cover heating and cooling costs.
Income Tax Preparation (VITA Program)
Staff and volunteers are certified through the IRS, and will not only assist with the preparation with tax returns but will also submit state and federal returns.
Legal Services
Geauga Seniors can receive up to three hours of legal services through the Department on Aging.
Medicare Answers
Help provide information and assistance with Medicare enrollment, coverage, and other related issues.
Out-of-County Medical Transportation
Provides transportation for seniors to medical appointments outside of their county of residence.
Senior Center Sites
Provides community centers and senior centers where seniors can socialize, participate in activities, and access resources and support services.
Transportation Voucher Program
Provides transportation for seniors to doctor appointments and/or grocery shopping within Geauga County, who fall within established federal income guidelines.
