Win of the Week Munson Elementary Careers on Wheels May 2024
Munson Elementary School held their 3rd Annual Careers on Wheels Day Tuesday, May 7th, 2024. The purpose of the event is for area businesses and agencies to share a variety of careers that use support vehicles. Thirty-seven area businesses and agencies attended to share their careers and vehicles with the children of Munson and Park Elementary schools.
Geauga County Department on Aging attended to represent the Home Delivered Meals program which delivers a hot, lunch time meal to seniors in need. Around 500 students, teachers and staff learned about the process of preparing, packaging and delivering nutritious lunches to frail and homebound seniors throughout all of Geauga County. Students also learned how they could help support this program and seniors in their community by donating letters, cards, pictures and crafts to be distributed with the meals and brighten a senior’s day.
