DES, over the last several months, has been determining the interest and planned activities that may occur in Geauga County during the eclipse.

We are sure this list is not the total of all activities planned.  Here are some highlights of what we have learned:

• Estimated population influx into Geauga County is 195,000
• Geauga Parks is hosting an event at Geauga Geauga County Fairgrounds, estimated attendance 6,000 – 8,000
• Thompson KOA is booked
• Berkshire Local Schools are closed for the day
• The City of Chardon is hosting Eclipse on the Square
