Notice is hereby given that sealed bids marked as “Dept. on Aging – Paratransit Van” will be received during the normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Bids will be received until 1:45 p.m., on June 29, 2022, in the office of the Geauga County Board of Commissioners at 470 Center Street, Building #4, Chardon, OH 44024, or by mail at the same address. Bids received shall be publicly opened and read aloud the same day at said office at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
The specifications will be available for pickup and inspection at the Department of Community and Economic Development, 470 Center Street, Building #8-A, Chardon, OH during normal business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday from Wednesday, June 15, 2022, UNTIL 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2022. Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the aforesaid Geauga County, or by a certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount, in favor of the aforesaid Geauga County. The Bid Guaranty must be submitted as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a proper contract in accordance with the bid, plans, details, and bills or material will be entered into an its performance properly secured.

Geauga County reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof, and to waive any informalities and/or irregularities in the bids. The County’s decision on any award is final. Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of national origin, creed, color, or gender.
